For example there is no question about the language of new documents or the page size. Bug for some options this relation is not so clear, eg. all the view settings. Having some kind of info mark, ideally with a hint on the respective command (I also don't know how to switch this search criteria per document). This has been discussed in some tickets, recently bug 144814 somewhat more matured in bug 43786.
