Oh, and looking further down the dxdiag report, the discrete GPU on this laptop
is the nVidia Quadro K2000M, same link for using a Dell "certified" driver

Well, I'll flat out say you need to update the Drivers for the GPUs.
Your Intel HD Graphics 4000 iGPU is at 8.15.10.2712 (2012-03-26), Dells support
page delivers current Intel HD 4000 driver at 10.
