I have not tried the newest version, but 5.4.7.2 was the newest version at the
time I tested, and it did not contain the bug. I have only been able to
replicate this bug using a Mageia packaged version running the KDE desktop.
Other desktops and versions work fine. It does not appear to be related to your
code and this bug report can be closed.

Do you mean the problem is no longer reproduced with the latest version of
LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?

Using safe mode had no effect on this bug and I've ruled out a corrupted
profile as the cause.

I was unable to reproduce this on a different Mageia 6 laptop that had not been
updated recently. I wiped the old installation and reinstalled Mageia 6 on the
laptop. Now that the updated version 5.3.7.2-3.mga6 is installed I can
reproduce it on both machines.

I've filed a bug report with Mageia for this:
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23304

Please keep this bug report open until we are able to determine the root cause.

I've tried to update this to critical but the system won't let me. I know it's
very unlikely a problem of this magnitude could make it into a major release
and I'm still hoping this is something specific to my system, but as I look
into this, that seems less and less likely. This is looking more like a memory
allocation issue and an extremely serious one at that. This issue results in
corrupted data and sometimes it is undetectable by the end user. I know you get
hundreds of bug reports and most are bogus, but please don't blow this off.

After looking at this more I think the 20 that was added to the divisor was not
random but was the characters in the divisor that were highlighted and supposed
to be replaced.

Screenshot of screwed up formula

This screenshot shows the next cell in the column. The data was modified
exactly the same as in the first screenshot, but look at the how the formula
was saved. The end of range became the beginning of the range and the end of
the range became the beginning of the range plus the first character of the
divisor. The 2nd and 3rd characters of the divisor are now the 1st 2 characters
and a seemingly random 20 is added to the end of the divisor.

Screenshot of correct formula

These 2 screenshots show the 2nd manifestation of this issue. I can't send you
the spreadsheet, but here's a screenshot. The formulas in the column with the
highlighted cell were modified by highlighting the row number of the first cell
in the formula bar and replacing it with a different row number. The divisor
was also modified the same way to reflect the new range.

Sheet displaying bug

Sheet is self-explanatory. As you can see when using shortcut keys everything
works as expected. The problem arises when the copy/cut source is selected with
the mouse and copied/cut using the right click mouse menu. It appears that
every other copy/cut action selects the previously selected data.
