Tested with LibreOffice 5.2.1, 64-bit on Linux Mint 18 (kernel 4.7.4).
Now it works - audio icon will not cover text box on the slide.

REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3)

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo";

LibreOffice 5.0.0.3 tested and problem still persist.

Version: 5.0.0.3 (RC3)
ID: f79b5ba13f5e6cbad23f8038060e556217e66632
Locale: et-EE (et_EE.UTF-8)
OS: 64-bit Linux Mint 17.2 with Cinnamon desktop, kernel 4.0.8-040008-generic

Problem still persist. Inserting sound file will replace text box. Workaround:
when create new file and insert sound file there and then move to right slide
then it will be possible to use the sound file on the slide.

Using 64-bit Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.1 with 4.0.4-040004-generic kernel
LibreOffice version: 5.0.0.0.beta1

I confirm the problem still persist:
* it takes quite long time to add the audio file
* deactivating any text box on the slide by clicking on the background several
times
* added audio file will replace whole text on the slide with large sound icon

Also managing the ODP file where are audio file(s) is incredibly slow. Resizing
or changing the sound file location. It might easily happen, that program have
to be closed through using force.

MP3 from original example for testing.

I have extracted the Media\impress-error.mp3 file (refer attached) that was
inserted into attachment 78958 for simpler testing. I have tested inserting
this media file under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 using:

- v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6
- v3.4.6.2 OOO340m1 Build: 602
- v3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b
- v3.6.7.2 Build ID: e183d5b
- v4.0.6.2 Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24
- v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a

In all cases the slide content is replaced.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open download attachment 78958 and this MP3.
2. Open the ODP.
3. Insert  Movie and Sound  select MP3  click Open.

Expected behaviour:
- Music icon is placed on the slide, either on top of or adjacent existing
Slide 1 content i.e., text box.

Observed behaviour:
- Music icon entirely replaces existing Slide 1 content i.e., text box is
deleted.

Hi, using LibreOffice Version: 4.1.3.2
Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a and Ubuntu 13.10 64bit
version I can't reproduce, the sound object doesn't replace the text boxes. I
leave it as unconfirmed. 
@Edmund: May be try with a newer version of LibreOffice and check if there is
still an issue - Sophie
