Hi Jay, I actually posted an idea here earlier this year about simplifying the toolbars quite a bit <http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/A-more-usable-default-setup-td4073632.html> . The crowding of the standard toolbar makes LibreOffice as a whole look difficult and ugly, and even breaks some of our design principles.
