Hi!
This is great news, thanks a lot, hope to test it soon. Hope wiki article
will be updated.

How one can help with these? I have checked some bugs and their status is
FIXED or an exported attachment is irrelevant to the bug itself. Should
those crashers be marked somehow, bugs reopened or cloned into new reports,
BTs added?

Anyone ever reviewed those enhancement requests (for instance UI changes)? I
wonder if bugs marked as such (more than 1000) are any help for
developers...
Best regards.

In any case, if it does work that way under Linux but not under Windows then
it requires a bug report.
Can anyone confirm that saving a hybrid pdf under Linux (or Mac) using
4.2.0.2 creates a file with a double extension?

Not really. Astron presented the same security and usability arguments I
would use. If they were ignored then it's a TDF option.

I do agree that hybrid PDFs are one of LO's hidden jewels. I just think that
double extensions is not the way to highlight it (on the contrary, since
antivirus will possibly start warning and blocking such files...)

The best solution would be to create a new extension (possibly .hpdf as
suggested by user Stephan Zietsman) and agree with PDF Reader makers to open
these files as PDF by default and have a button to "Edit with..." (as
suggested by Astron)
IF Adobe would agree to this, then it would easily become a standard...
Maybe TDF's Marketing and PR could make this happen???

In fact this format would be a great idea for Latex files (as mentioned by
user SPM) and possibly others...

Cheers,
Pedro

If it was changed it was surely not me but I remember some discussion about
it either on the dev ML or in the ESC. See for example
