[Libreoffice-qa] minor issue in the latest NEW mass ping text message

2017-01-05 Thread Tommy

hi Xisco,
just to make you aware that in the latest NEW mass ping the text message
says:

--- snip ---
Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version
of LibreOffice (5.1.6 or 5.2.3 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

--- snip ---

the latest available release is instead 5.2.4 and I suppose you probably
just copied and pasted the text from a previous mass ping where the
latest available LibO version was 5.2.3

just a minor flaw, nothing serious...
but you should remember to check those version numbers in next mass pings.

[Libreoffice-qa] Call for testing. Shutdown problems in Windows

2017-01-05 Thread Xisco Fauli

Hello all,

As displayed in the chart from
http://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/, there has been a huge
increase in the number of crash reported in LibreOffice 5.2.4.2 and one
of the main reasons for this increase is a shutdown crash related to the
clipboard code being destroyed too late in windows.

Thanks to Markus Mohrhard, the problem should already be fixed in
master:
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=db1726216ba200c8a55c23a9d8c2ffd2066263a7

An example on how to reproduce the crash:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104969

So I'd like to ask everybody with a Windows environment to download the
latest daily build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/
and thoroughly test the shutdown process when something is copied to
clipboard.

In case you observe any problem at shutdown, please report it to
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/enter_bug.cgi and try to be as
precise as possible, specially adding the steps to reproduce it.

Regards
