I think it is fine here as an alternative option for each of the submenu
entries.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 101977] New: TRACK CHANGES: More uno commands for accepting/ rejecting changes

2016-09-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101977

Bug ID: 101977
Summary: TRACK CHANGES: More uno commands for
accepting/rejecting changes
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-b...@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: philip...@hotmail.com
CC: gulsah.1...@gmail.com,
libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org
Blocks: 83946, 86899

As we reverted the change of bug 83953 in bug 90597, we need uno commands for
'Accept Change and Next' and 'Reject Change and Next'. We also need uno
commands for 'Accept All Changes' and 'Reject All Changes' as these commands
are available in the track changes dialog but dont have uno commands.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 101302] Deleted files visible as recent documents in menu and start center

Talked to Tomaz about the issue: He agrees that disabling the entries is the
simplest and most effective solution. Even when the dialog would offer an
option to remove the list entry the workflow is awkward. Files that cannot be
opened should be disabled.

Removing needsUXEval, proposing easyHack. NEEDINFO for the codepointers. But
the challenge is that you have to check the accessibility when the menu is
being opend (or the start center). And there must be no delay. A non-easy
solution could be to check the files in separate threads and update the item
state for the opened menu.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 99379] libreoffice wants to recover a saved document

There was a bug which changes the document state to "modified" after a few
seconds. And I believe it was fixed. Please double-check with an up-to-date
release.

Given that you are only presented a recovery dialog when there are files that
haven't saved, the dialog itself is the LibO way to show deal with the unwanted
event. So moving things to the sidebar is needless effort.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 95575] Multiple-page view should automatically zoom out pages

That's a valid request: With 100% zoom you do not see any effect when switching
from single page to multiple page preview (at least on Qt with a dark theme the
icon gives no indication too, no highlighting for instance).

The proposal is to adjust in that case the zoom factor so that fits two pages.
When going back to single page I would also change the zoom factor from 65% or
whatever it is on the actual system to 100%.

Removing needsUX, proposing EasyHack. NEEDINFO: Please add codepointers.

Definitely. With all the newly introduced styles such as for tables, this

You're right, this would be Windows only. The installer is slow there, takes
minutes to install/update on my system (could be faster with SSDs). I think
there's plenty of free time to show stuff there (of course I wouldn't to slow
down the process further).

Didn't read all the comments but to me it looks pretty easy to load styles from
a template.

What is missing in this dialog is the newly introduced table styles feature.
Adding Miklos and Jakub.
