Hi Saren,

In LibreOffice 5.0, contextual toolbars have been disabled by default in favour
of the contextual properties tab of the sidebar. If contextual toolbars appear
at any time, you can stop them from appearing in that context by disabling the
toolbar in View > Toolbars. If you want to have a contextual toolbar to appear
all the time, then when it isnt showing enable it in View > Toolbars.

Version: 5.2.1.2 (x64)

Setting Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Writer -> General: Measurement unit
drop list to "Point"

and setting the Paragraph dialog's Indents and Spacing tab: Line Spacing drop
list to Fixed

Values entered in 1/10ths or 1/100ths of Point are being rounded in the
resulting ODF archive's content.xml

When Writer measurement units are in Inch, precise value entered for Spacing
are not retained either and are off by a couple of 1/1000th of inch, but they
are not rounded like the Point values.

Also, values when setting Measurement unit to Pica are correctly converted to 
1/10th Point in the content.xml--e.g. 0.8pc gets recorded as 9.61pt  (1 pc = 12
pt).

So pretty clear there is an issue incorrectly converting Paragraph
"line-height" for Point measurement units. It is not truncated but is being
rounded, e.g. 14.45 -> 14, 14.55 -> 15

Issue was not present through
Version: 4.1.6.2
Build ID: 40ff705089295be5be0aae9b15123f687c05b0a

But manifests by
Version: 4.2.0.4

We have a similar enhancement request for Writer in bug 99697. The view menu
contains of a good number of options and we should aim for simplicity meaning
only those options should be exposed to the UI that are toggled often (in case
of "frequently" it's worth to put this feature into the toolbar).

WONTFIX from my side unless there is more interest (setting to NEW until the
final solution).

I don't mean all options - only calc options that refer to the view. - e.g.
highlight formulae, values etc. that refer to calc should be faster accessible
in the view menu instead of beeing hidden somewhere in the depth of the
properties .

That should work out of the box. Go to Tools > Customize > Context Menu, select
the menu that you want to modify, e.g. Cell, click Add Command, and add from
the list (e.g. Bold and Italic).

the attached image should be seen as an example. The general idea is to enable
a user to add user defined calc commands to the right click menu. The general
idea behind it is simply to acceerate workflow in comparison to that stupid
icon finding in the icon bar somewhere at the rim of the gui.

Just tested with a daily build and find that there is something really odd
going on here. If you set the line spacing on the sidebar to, let's say, fixed
at 14.4 pts that number will stay at 14.4 pts *there*, but the text will be far
more stretched that that, in fact if you go now to the paragraph formatting
you'll find that the line spacing is set at 26 pts!

To see this better, go to Tools → Options → LibreOffice(Dev) Writer → General
and change the Measurement units to points. 

Another example: Fixed of 15 pts on the paragraph formatting shows as Fixed of
8.5 pts on the sidebar.

Clear direct formatting should fall back to the standard style, yes. But please

Non-printing Characters (ctrl+F10) only show text hidden using Format >
Character if Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer > Formatting Aids > Hidden

All your suggestions make sense. I remove the keyword UX since the issue is an
ordinary bug, in my opinion (View > Hidden Paragraphs doesn't work at all).

* PDF export should behave like printing.
* Print preview should follow the print settings.
* Non-printable character (Formatting Marks in 5.3) must not be confused with
hidden text, and View>Hidden should be the right trigger

Links to AOO don't work anymore. Your Italian forum requires registration to
zoom the image. 

To rephrase what I understand: You want to add a sound file to the whole
presentation that is playing in the background during the presentation. Today
the playback restarts when you go to the next slide. And the proposal is to add
a checkbox that switches from per slide playback to per presentation.

Right?

Visibility toggled per formatting marks (ctrl+F10)

Hidden text: Isn't this View > Hidden Paragraphs?
Fields (Hidden text, Hidden paragraphs): No idea how that works and why it is
different to the hidden text. But it doesn't sound as there is an urgent need
for an uno command. 

I vote for WONTFIX. Opinions?

You use Impress to draw icons? Wouldn't Draw fit this task much better?

The solution needs still some refinement (see bug 102062) but solves #80752,

Alternative solutions, except of killing styles:
* Master is not used to deal with styles, i.e. no font color
* Master is/can be defined per slide layout (Slide design is actually a dialog
to access templates per Load...); Microsoft Powerpoint works like this
* Styles dialog gets an overhaul and it becomes clear what style can be changed

* Workaround: Sidebar shows Styles and Formatting > Presentation Styles in
master edit mode with a WYSIWYG preview; the subtitle is part of this list

Presentation styles cannot be applied to the selection, meaning I cannot switch
a subtitle into a title. That's confusing since Graphic Styles, which are
applied to text boxes and have the same look and feel as auto-layouts, work as
expected. When we rename this style to Master Style it would be more clear (or
we drop one of the styles *g*).
