Recently we all recieved the news that Microsoft is joining the Linux foundation. Certainly this is mixed news at best. Like Google I suspect they will give some to the community, and likely take a lot [more].
Some in the Linux community are very abrhensive about what input they will have on the develpment of the kernel Linux in the coming years as a result. Does anyone know if perhaps if members of the GNU Project have attempted to reach into the Linux community related to this news and requested additional support on the Hurd? Depending on where Windows/Linux goes, the Hurd could be much more important than previously. Jim
