This basic has been aborted because this machine has no rom basic. You'll need to use Linux or Win2K and create at least two partitions, the first up to about 8GB, the second after skipping a few hundred MB of empty hibernation space to the end of the HD; or, you'll need to download and use the IBM Disk Manager program to get your L60 to see 8GB HDs. It's was a BIOS limitation. Ever heard Bil Gates saying his famous words: 640 Kb is enough (ram memory)?
