You answered the question just above...

It's probably the edge connection bonding the glass to the driver chips.
People have had some success with small pressure pads; I haven't :(

[LIB] [lib] parts in the UK

Just thought someone else may be able to use this information.

I needed a new brake hinge for a rather sorry 100CT that has a slightly
damaged screen. There's two vertical lines (one red, one blue) running down
the screen that only show up when the display colour should be black -
they're stuck "on". Pressing on the back of the panel turns these white,
which isn't an improvement!

The cause is a fall on the left hand corner of the back of the 100ct. The
plastic has cracked, but more worryingly the left hand hinge has snapped
inside the lcd panel cover, meaning that the LCD itself is what is applying
force to the hinge to move it. Eek.

Got the part number from the parts list and exploded diagrams that are
available on David's site (many thanks to David, and also to Trevor who
faxed them to me!)

Impact computers had the part on their website. But couldn't deliver due to
out of stock. So I tried toshiba uk who told me to speak to Hugh Symons, a
parts reseller.

They found that the part had been replaced, did all the legwork to get the
new number, and shipped it out to me next day. Excellent service, and the
part was exactly right, plus cheaper than it would have cost in the US
anyhow (£10).

For parts, try Martin at Hugh Symons on 01202 714315. They take credit
cards, too.

V impressed, v happy.

Now, if anyone has any clues as to how to fix these stuck pixels...

Nick.
