There is indirect way to proceed. Boot from DOS floppy. Then run any utility
that reports HD geometry eg Caldera fdisk (comes with any Powerquest
software) or PTS diskeditor (free). You will see that your disk upper limit
is only Cyl 1016 Head 255 and Sector 64 which is different from usual 1024
cylinder limit.
Now a bit of calculation:
(1024-1016)*255*64*512/1024=65280KB
Control Panel-System reports that I have 65136KB of RAM. This should fit
between 1016 and 1024 cylinders. Yet noone can confirm that BIOS effectively
hibernates into that area. I will try to figure that out as oon as I get my
6GB disk back for backup.
I highly recommend to free that area just in case.
