Yes, it's checked in. I've been using -- --with-xml2-config on the Mac as the arguments to gem install or ruby setup.rb in the extension directory. I'll make this the default in HEAD since it seems like this is the desirable behavior - especially with so many people using MacPorts, or Gentoo

I just upgraded to version .98 on Mac OS X and when I tried running db:migrate I got the following error. dyld: NSLinkModule() error dyld: Symbol not found: _htmlNewParserCtxt Referenced from: /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/libxml-ruby-0.9.8/ lib/libxml_ruby.bundle Expected in: flat names
