"gem install -r libxml-ruby"
~$ gem list --local | grep xml
libxml-ruby (0.3.8.4)
So version is 0.3.8.4
Your code runs without problems here.
xmlroot.child.each is available here, too
I don't think you need the
require 'xml/libxml_s
