I've applied your patch to Saturday's SVN and since then I haven't had
any fake offline message. I didn't have time to read the code in
detail so I don't know, but maybe fake offline messages were taken out
of the code? Does anyone else have the same issue?

Since a release seems to come up, could you get my little patch in before.
I think it is much more user friendly to also have the alias in a fake offline
message.
