But the change in r6707 should make sure the problem doesn't appear when sending a message. Please update to latest svn and try again. However, I suspect that this crash can still appear if toggling the multiple recipients function in the message dialog. Could you please test this for me as well. Another strange thing is the 500.000 lines generated in the backtrace, that's why i tar'ed it. Good luck!
