Is it possible, in tablature, to make a slur or beam between two notes,
one of which is a single note, the other in a chord? In the score this
is done by a slur, but I use two voices there, so the g# is not in a
chord there:

The best editor for LilyPond seems to be jEdit (www.jedit.org) with its
LilyPond plugin.
(Of course, the best editor at all is either emacs or vi ;-))
I don't really like neither of them.
On MacOS X there's also LilyPad - not as mighty, but very comfortable.
jEdit with LilyTool would be
