No, the versions do not match. Noteedit exports to Lilypond 2.4.2. and I have
Lilypond 2.6.3. These are the Mandriva RPMs for my version. I wanted to put
the Segno on an opening repeat double bar (||:) with two quavers anacrusis.
Perhaps I should have inserted the code after the second

I'm running LilyPond 2.8.4.1 under Window XP SP2.
I recently switched from jEdit to ConTEXT (with the new LilyPond

LilyPond started to hang. I can't get my files to complete. The only
global change I can remember making

I am attempting to write a file in TexShop 1.43 that includes Lilypond
code. But I keep getting the error message:

Here are some things I've tried:
Cut and pasted directly from the LP manual.
Have tried spelling LP as LilyPond,
Did you also read in the LilyPond manual how to process the file
using lilypond-book in order to get a file that latex can understand?
I don't know anything about TexShop, but it's probably possible to
define custom commands so that you can run lilypond-book from within

Bingo! (I hope) - When I made the DOS to Unicode change, I also added a

I had been using 2.8.1 of LP and decided to upgrade. The latest is 2.8.5-1. When I installed it on Windows XP SP2, the lilypond.exe now acts like it's empty. It runs but ends immediately. lilypond -version prints nothing. lilypond test.ly prints nothing (not even an
I recently upgraded to 2.8.5 on WinXP but I did an uninstall of the old
version first (2.8.0). No problems so far, 2.8.5 seems to run a little
faster too.

Really? That's pretty strange that stdout won't show up on a Windows console but can get captured by a redirect... I would not have thought that possible. I hope this gets fixed soon; I'd like to keep up wirh the latest stable release but I'd like to see what I'm
