I use Lilypond (but not Frescobaldi -- don't know if it works, I think

I use LilyDev 4 (Debian 8 / Jessie, native GUI I guess) on a Mac with VMware
Fusion, on which Lilypond dev versions compile seamlessly.

I can confirm the error on my Mac (Early 2009 iMac running 10.11.6) with
LilyPond 2.19.53
Interestingly lipo -info tells me that file is for an i386 architecture,
which is the same as what uname -p tells me my machine in fact has.

Shall we raise it as a bug?

This bug has either been introduced in 2.19, or it
Andrew,
Not an expert, yet have encountered this is some Romantic Piano works. If you
provide an example, I shall try my best to find a solution.

Hi Pat,
Same problem on Linux. I would class this as a defect - I would not expect
to be restricted in music filenames due to clashes with internal files. No
wonder it is not documented.
I think it should be raised as a bug.

I tired to send this earlier by sending it to lilypond-user-mequ...@gnu.org,
but it didn’t seem to make it. Trying again to lilypond-user@gnu.org.
So I have this simple lilypond file:
\version “2.19.46”
{ c4 }
in a file called satb.ly
When I try to compile it with: lilypond satb.ly
Hi Mark,
I was not clear enough, too brief. I need to alter the beaming stem counts
to indicate the rhythms from the composer. This is very common. The default
is almost never the right pattern for our work. It is when you change the
beam counts that this problem arises. So I can't leave them

outside-staff-padding should work, too.

Andrew,
Another suggestion: eliminate the" \set" commands and retain the [ ].
Lilypond seems to do it automatically.

Hi Seng Liang,

Y-offset seems to work:
\layout {
\context {
\Staff
\consists #Measure_counter_engraver
\override MeasureCounter.Y-offset = #10
}
}
\score {
\relative c' {
\startMeasureCount R1*2
Hi, I'm using Lilypond version 2.18.2 in Windows 10. Another problem I've
encountered is, how to move measure counters vertically (in other words
increase the gap between measure counters and the staff):
\version "2.18.2"
\layout { \context { \Staff
\consists #Measure_counter_engraver
Articulations attached to multi-measure rests create MultiMeasureRestText
objects.
So it is these that should be overridden. Try:
\version "2.18.2"
\score {
\relative c' {
\time 4/4
R1
<<
{ R1-\tweak Y-offset #-5
_\markup A
\override

OpenSuSE, I'd recommend to use the Tumbleweed variant. It's a good

When adjusting the number of beams on stems on a beamed group that go across
