Thank you Aaron, I had to sleep on it and when I woke up it clicked instantly. I was able to get the chords to work but I ran across a chord that I am not able to write the following chord, If anyone has any ideas on how I can write this I would greatly appreciate it. This is what my attempt got

Hi frank, this is the place to go for help. Near the bottom of the page in the manuals section there is a link to video tutorials made by Ben Lemon. I suggest taking a look at that because he goes step by step of the installation of LilyPond and frescobaldi, a popular editor for LilyPond.

Hi there! Is this group where I can get help to get Lilypond up and running? I installed LP, opened it and got to the 'Welcome to LilyPond' screen. I followed the instructions and created a copy of the file on the desktop and dragged the file onto the LilyPond icon but no pdf file got created.

Ciao Bernhard, I have the "M-Audio Keystation Mini 32" that Knute suggests. I can confirm it works flawlessly with Frescobaldi (and Musescore). His small size makes it very practical. And it's cheap so if you decide to not use it, it should not be a big problem :) Ciao, g. On Mon, 22 Mar 2021
