Hi, I'm just getting started with lilypond so I hope this issue is not obvious. As I'm playing the drums, many tutorials I found regarding lilypond do not quite apply in the details. So far the two things I've found are https://lilypondcookbook.com/toc and the docs

I’ve set in paper block “ragged-bottom = ##t”. Can I change it for a couple of pages to ##f ? Thanks!

Hi, I was trying to use https://lsr.di.unimi.it/LSR/Snippet?id=529 to add some rests to chord symbols After using convert-ly it worked as is. However, when using this in the context of repeat voltas, chords in the endings appear above the ending lines, rather than below as normal. Does anyone

You can do like this if it’s useful to you, removing the engravers that read what you don’t want at a specific place. %% \version "2.25.1" rh = \fixed c' {c4\pp d\p e\f f\ff} \score { << \new Voice \with { \remove Dynamic_engraver } \rh \new Dynamics %Dynamics

First question Suppose I wrote this score: \version "2.25.2" rh = \fixed c' {c4\pp d\p e\f f\ff} \score { \new Staff \rh } Is there any "automatic" way to extract the dynamics in the score (maybe assigning it to a variable)? At the end I would like to easily transform the previous code in

Hi David, Looks like what you want is \overrideTimeSignatureSettings Details on how it works can be found at http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.25/Documentation/notation/time-signature#index-_005coverrideTimeSignatureSettings But a basic example is as follows: \version "2.25.4" \new Staff = "main" {

Is it possible to set automatic beaming in 4/4 time such that 4 4 8[ 8 8 8] but 4 4. 8 8[ 8] ? (i.e., I'd like to beam 8ths together in twos or fours, but never threes) (The only previous message I saw on this topic didn't appear to be answered:
