The likely answer is that I'm doing this all wrong, but I'll ask
and hopefully find a solution that doesn't involve a complete
re-structure of my source files.
I've read the following several times an haven't found
anything relevant
-of a solution in search of a problem but

Just tried to import a cubase XML file and hit a
*bunch* of errors.
I did finally get a .ly, but it was a struggle and required the
command line version rather than working in Frescobaldi.
I post this, not so much asking for assistance, but as possibly
useful data for those working on

scores.
I keep banging at this and getting nowhere.
As putting a bunch of individual scores together into a book may
be a more or less common task, a good template would be brilliant
and potentially useful for others

I produce both lead sheets with chords and lyrics and melody lineswith chords
for dance music. The original material is often hand engravedand hard to read
or in the wrong key -- hence the re-engraving.
One problem that I'm currently encountering is dealing with optionalchords.
(The chord
m guessing that the answer is "no" since publishers like
to reduce the page count, where possible. And I've never
seen this done.
So, I won't be too frustrated if the answer is, "It can't
be done"

e options for font-family - I guessed
(correctly as it turns out) that sans would be a possible alternative
to the standard serif font.
The resulting output is definitely readable so I'm pleased with

It seems clear to me that I am mis-formatting something.
What I am trying to do is is to put multiple tunes on a single page
as for a set of tunes for a dance. The problem that I'm having is
that many of these tunes start both the A part and the B part
with an anacrusis and end the part with a
archive first.
