Hi list,
I have the following code for a short song I'm engraving:
\version "2.19.82"
\header {
title = "QUITE ENGLISH"
composer = \markup { { \smallCaps "A.S. Ramsay" } (fl. 1885) }
poet = \markup { { \smallCaps "W.S. Douglass" } (fl. 1885–1888) }
tagline = ##f

Dear list,
I am currently engraving a song for soprano and piano which begins with 15
measures of piano solo. I would like the soprano's staff not to show since
it is not playing. \RemoveEmptyStaves does not seem to hide the first line
of the piece.

Hi all,
Is there a way to specify the vertical staff placement for full-measure
rests as there is for smaller rests (e.g. "b4\rest")?
Thanks,

Hi all,
I am tying two chords together. Is it possible to have the top tie be above
the note and the bottom tie to be below?
i.e. When I use _~ the tie is below both notes and vice versa for ^~
Thanks in advance

Sorry to bother you all again/
Spoken chorus uses (connected) one-line staves. How would I engrave this
for, say, an S-A-T-B choir?

How would I go about engraving a piece for piano left hand solo?
