It seems that the LedgerLineSpanner that was introduced in version 2.3.8, is a somewhat special beast, since one and the same LedgerLineSpanner object handles all ledger lines in the full score (actually, I think there will be one for each line, but they are all clones of each other). Just as for

I would like to make ledger lines transparent and then turn them back on. I looked through regression and /input/test/ and didn't find what I was looking for. I saw in one regression example that individual grobs can be offset but I would find it more useful in this instance to turn the ledger
