tuplet bracket slope

2016-07-06 Thread Gilberto Agostinho
Hi all, I am wondering if the way LilyPond's tuplet bracket algorithm works is really ideal. It seems to me that the algorithm does not specify a maximum slope for the brackets, and can produce things like this: \version "2.19.37" { \tuplet 5/4 { 16 d'4 } \tuplet 5/4 {

Arpeggio across notes of differing lengths

2016-07-06 Thread Joel C. Salomon
In the score to Peter Pan I’ve come across what appears to be an arpeggio with notes of different lengths. I’ve come up with the kluge below, but it doesn’t really look right (the hidden notes take up space, and show up in the MIDI output). What’s the correct way to achieve this? \version

Sustain pedals (newbie question)

2016-07-06 Thread Joel C. Salomon
The attached .ly is an attempt to recreate the score shown in the attached PNG file, but the position of the pedal marks is different, and I can’t figure out how to achieve this. (My MIDI interface is also not so great that I can tell whether the pedal is depressed in the correct place.) It’s

I suggest the distinction between annotation type (critical remark, etc.), edition type (addition, emendation, etc.), and observation type (addition, emendation, etc.). This is a fairly loose naming scheme, but I'll clarify that it's all oriented to the usual annotations interface (so not

I would like to recover the value of the lilypond version statement to insert it in the tagline. With "\simple #(lilypond-version)" I can recover the current lilypond version which is not necessarily the same string. Is there a solution other than hard-coding it? TIA Rossano -- View this
