To the question of bending/detuning etc. Please have a look at Michael Manring https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWPHrRwQqVE explaining his "hyperbass" where he can change tuning with the levers of his special tuning pegs and levers at the bridge. May be that does not meet the point of this
