The entire piece is structured

Not really, the 12 measures occur in the middle of the piece.

Reggie,
The piano staff need more "spacers."
In the treble and bass change both to "s1*3 s8."

Hello all,
A C.P.E. Bach Piano sonata has the upper staff written with the soprano
clef.
My skill at reading music in soprano clef is minimal. So I am attempting a
translation to treble clef.
Does Lilypond have means to assist in this task?
Thank you,
Mark

Jacques,
You do not need to use chord notation and the \set command.
Fingering down indicated by the _ (underscore), e.g., a,4_3, and the up
fingering by the ^ (carat), e.g., e^1
The - (dash) is a neutral setting and Lilypond decides according to voice
number.

Kenneth,
Not dense at all.
Change staff works within a single voice. You split it between rh and lh. Might
suggest you use "upper" and "lower" for staff designation if you use rh and lh
as variable names.
Assuming you start in "lower" with lh.
Then
\tuplet 3/2 { b,8(d b }

Kenneth,
The auto beaming can be overridden using [..]. Look up "manual beaming"
in the docs.
Stem direction can be changed with \stemUp and \stemDown.
Attached is a start.

Ming,
Bar 4 in both are identical. What is “wrong” in the second score?
What is wrong with bar 6? There is only one example.
What adjustment do you want to the beam in bar 5?
