Accidentally, this has been fixed recently (replacing the programming
error with a warning message) and will appear in the next development
release.

This actually means character U+0080, which is the non-breaking space.
LilyPond replaces this with the visual representation of the `.notdef'
character, which looks like a space for many fonts.
