Hello, A couple days ago, I described a problem with a piece for two staves in independent time signatures. After consulting this post , I moved the timing translator and bar line engraver out of the score context and into the staff context.

Yes, you are exactly right. I'm not sure what the right way of going about that final check is, but something along those lines should do the trick for those not expecting the current behavior. I certainly can't speak for other experienced users, but I also haven't encountered the need for it once

Successive crescendo/decrescendo fades to silence

This tiny example with swells of crescendo-decrescendos compiles without warning, typesets as expected, but the midi unexpectedly fades to silence.  Terminating the crescendos with \! before adding the decrescendo fixes the issue, but NR shows this as valid syntax.  Bug? \version
