bar checks and independent time signatures

2015-10-22 Thread Michael Collins
Hello, A couple days ago, I described a problem with a piece for two staves in independent time signatures. After consulting this post , I moved the timing translator and bar line engraver out of the score context and into the staff context.

My finances for working on LilyPond

As you all know, my sole source of income are donations from happy LilyPond users. It would appear that LilyPond users have stopped being happy with my work. I've taken a look at my last bank report. In the last month I received: 1 donation of 200 EUR 1 donation of 100 EUR 2 donations of 25

I thought the advice you were given was fairly clear. Lilypond will only break a line when there is a break in the music with all the music in the piece. In the piece you have provided, the upper staff and the lower staff never cease at the same point. In other words, the bar breaks need to

Maybe there are two things to add to your thoughts, Abraham: Between 2. and 3. I would add (it's implied but I'd make it explicit): 2a. This new file in "edited" state does not have a proper file name and not even a directory yet, it completely lives in a temporary folder. One simple thing could

Yes, you are exactly right. I'm not sure what the right way of going about that final check is, but something along those lines should do the trick for those not expecting the current behavior. I certainly can't speak for other experienced users, but I also haven't encountered the need for it once

Replying to this initial message but addressing others' comments too. There is no such thing as a "Donate" button on the website because there is no such thing as an "organization" of LilyPond that could be supported. What we are talking about is an individual developer who tries to back up his
