Hi all the list,
I have a database and I want to save periodically the records of every
month in particular backup folders without the permission of the user
(in background). How can I do that with fileioxtra or filextra3? I have
created two globals called gCurrentmonth that contains the records
Hi Friends,
I'm working in a big project (CD-ROM). I have lots of '.dir' files,
inside them, flash cast members and sounds plus other interactive
animations generated by lingo for menu for example. This CD will be
running from CD-ROM drive, not from HD. Well, I'm getting problems to
manage
Hello Giuseppe,
It seems as though your request can be fullfilled if you are using
the V12 database engine.
By using this database you can export all your records into a text file and
a DBF file.
You can download the Xtra directly from Integration New Media's website at
Appart from setpixel.com , evilfish and DOUG, I recommend you James Newton
brand new book, that features a whoel imaging lingo part, very very very
weel done!
Has anyone read this book? It was just published, right?
How about the 3D section?
Is it worth its' weight in gold?
Thanks
Hi Friends,
Hi Mitesh
I am having one question is that, how much time we can give
repeat loop example : repeat with p = 1 to 10
end repeat
This will take a long time. No, a really long time. Try this test.
Make a field member. Call it Test.
Now put this function in a movie
The thing with repeat loops is that they consume system resources and wont
let any other function to be performed on the computer when this is
happening. so you do not want this to happen normally i would use a frame
script to simulate a repeat loop works like a charm.

Good question -- but since AS is a lot like JavaScript, why not

I have to learn how to convert a function I did in Lingo to Flash, it works
mainly with lists, and is only used for calculations (input and output), so
no point in getting too much into doing

Hello list people, :0)--
Has anyone run in the problem of having a flash members background color
(white) not match to a white background on the stage. I could make the
background transparent but, as we know it runs O so slow when its not set to
Direct to stage.
I thought of putting a white

Here is a popular ActionScript tutorial

It is not my style, nor geared towards Lingo programmers, but it is pretty
Hi Lingo L,
A project I'm working on could potentially generate a lot of data that will need to be
archived. I'd prefer to store it in some compressed form (i.e. zipped) but I can't
find an Xtra that will handle the job. Any ideas?

I've read it--actually, a couple months ago, in manuscript form.

OK, I understood, but I´ll have other problems now and would like to ask
another question!!! I have an .SWA sound and a .SWF movie playing
together. I would like to stop the sound that plays from Director and
maintain the SWF movie. Well, I know, I'm able to create a sound object
