to go for firefox Extended support release.

I tried it on Windows 10 and it worked for me.
It was only necessary to toggle to false and then back to true.
YMMV.
I had to refresh a page to get the ads to disappear.

xpinstall.signatures.required and toggle to 'false'. Add-ons worked again for
me after that, but I read other people still had issues. Once the problem is
fixed by Firefox, change the setting back to 'true'.
