I have fixed some other build pbs on fc4. Build is now successful from
scratch.
fixed build from scratch on fc4 with gcc-4.0.2 with the following
configure line:
./configure \
--prefix=/usr \
--enable-strict \
--enable-alsa \
--enable-ipv6 \
--enable-video \
--with-osip=/usr \
