Re: [Linphone-users] Linking a number

2021-01-21 Thread Peio Rigaux
Hello. I would need a log message.

To get it, you must select the "previous" arrow in the top left corner.

Then enable logs in the side menu : settings > advanced.
Re-try to link your number, then go to side menu : about > send logs

I can also track your number on the server to see what happened. You can
give it to me in a 1 to 1 email.

Re: [Linphone-users] Register account with the name from deleted account

2021-01-21 Thread Peio Rigaux
Hello.

I see you sent the email with an Android device.

I suppose that you use Linphone on an Android device too.

When you select "delete account" in the UI, the account is only deleted
client-side (on the app), the account is still present on the server.

To use your account again, you just have to run the assistant from the
side menu, and depending on your account, either select "use a Linphone
account" or "use a SIP account".

You should then receive a code to authenticate.

Linphone isn't capable of sending or receiving MMS or group chats. When I get
an MMS, it doesn't show in the UI but it does show on my designated gateway

Re: [Linphone-users] H265 vs H264 not optimizing bandwidth + other feedback

2021-01-21 Thread Peio Rigaux
Hello Alan.

Thanks for your suggestions.

You can set the FPS of the call in settings > video > video profile (you
can select "custom")

You can change video definition in settings > video > definition

.

Currently, you can only change the priority order of codecs in
Linphone-Desktop (not in mobile versions), and AV1 isn't supported by
Linphone yet.

I'll keep in mind your suggestions, and maybe we could add it in future
releases.

[Linphone-users] Group Messaging

2021-01-21 Thread Joel Black
Hi,

One thing missing from the desktop version of Linphone seems to be the ability
to send a IM message to more than one recipient. I've used it for more than a
year, but have never seen a way to do it.

Is this not a supported feature?

Hello Jerry.

If the I-frame requires 700 ms to be transmitted, then it is totally expected
that the rendered video freezes during 700 ms when it is about to display the
I-frame.

You may modify the jitter buffer settings (from configuration file) to create
more latency and then masq the I-frame delay:

[rtp]

video_jitt_comp = 700 ms
