Re: [Linphone-users] Global response : Confirmation emails for new accounts

2022-07-29 Thread Peio Rigaux

Hello.

For the past few days we noticed that sometime account creation emails
may not be sent for newly created accounts.

There is still an issue about it under investigation.

Normally for now account creation (and sending the confirmation email)
should work on this page (and only on
this page).

Please let me know with mentioning the related account if this isn't the
case.

Hello folks!

When trying to open a new linphone account, I'm filling in the information user
name, e-mail address, 2x password, everything as usual. When pressing "create
now I get the response "A confirmation link has been sent to your email
address".
BUT: There is no confirmation e-mail arriving. Both myself and friends have
tried
it with different mail-addresses and passwords. We also took care that the
username does not contain any strange characters, but still there is no
confirmation mail coming.
Of course, we also checked our spam-folders, NOTHING.
Please help, because we need our linphone account quickly.

Regards
Peter

Re: [Linphone-users] Cannot make outgoing call [SIP/2.0 513 Message too large]

2022-07-29 Thread Peio Rigaux

Hello.

I tried changing the MTU value in the config file with no success.
Did you have access to your providers server to make this change ? Where
did you change it ? I'm confused.

It would be great to allow a setting in Linphone to change the max UDP
length to possibly solve this issue.
We could eventually add it but it would nto be optimal, as we strongly
discourage using SIP over UDP
.

Unfortunately, some providers allows only UDP. Did you try reducing the
number of activated codecs and disabling ICE to reduce the packet size ?

Hi, just submitting this report regarding outgoing calls to a SIP

I can register and receive incoming calls, but can't make any
outgoing calls.

The log states:

SIP/2.0 513 Message too large

I tried changing the MTU value in the config file with no success.

The same message is received in Blink. Twinkle and Zoiper can make
calls fine.

Re: [Linphone-users] LinPhone Desktop Font Issues on Linux

Hello Tom.

Could you please share some details with the screen used (resolution)
and the Desktop environment used ?

Eventually please also share a screenshot, so we could investigate.

Am running Linux Mint Debian Edition 5 (Debian 11.2).

Have downloaded and run BOTH the latest LinPhone AppImage (version 4.4)
from LinPhone website AND the older LinPhone (4.25) from Debian Repository.

In both cases, the LinPhone application fonts are so small as to make
the application completely unusable.  This happens ONLY with the
LinPhone app.

Would prefer to use the newer AppImage version but would frankly settle
for ANY version of LinPhone I can actually configure and use on my Linux
laptop.

Can anyone point me to contemporary LinPhone documentation or fixes for
this issue?
