[Linphone-users] Has Remote Configuration Changed with Version 5.2

2023-08-23 Thread Tom Bevington via Linphone-users
Just updated my OSX Desktop Linphone from 5.1.* to 5.2

Unlike all past Linphone updates this most recent update lost my
configuration.

So I opened the REMOTE CONFIGURATION option and gave it the url to my
configuration file, but it was no longer accepted/recognized.

Have the remote configuration options somehow changed with 5.2?

I've asked for help (link, below).

I received instructions on how to enable DTMF debug detail.

It seems Linphone isn't sending DTMF. I am aware of the in-band and out-band
DTMF settings (no clue about their function) and have tried 00 01 10 11 without
success. I setup Asterisk for ulaw but also tried GSM and G722 without success.

I verified from another phone that DTMF debugging is on (see link, below, for
details). I see DTMF detail for other phones but not Linphone.

I would sincerely appreciate any pointers.

Thank you very much!

  Android
Linphone and DTMF

Hi, I am running Linphone on my Google Pixel 6. I can dial-out successfully.
When I dial out I do not hear DTMF but I see the phone number displayed on the
console of my Asterisk PBX. When I try to access voicemail I do not hear DTMF,
I do not see digits displayed on the console, and voicemail prompts me to enter
the number until it times out. If I call-in externally using an analog phone
DTMF works–I don’t know if this is an applicable or valid test-case. I hear the
DTMF, see the digits d...

Hi,

Linphone supports DTMF using SIP INFO or RFC 4733.

Asterisk typically supports the same.

Maybe your Asterisk server is not set tup properly to perform DTMF.

Best regards,

Hi,

I've been using Linphone on Android for many years as a secondary option, which
I liked.

I successfully dial and receive calls.

I am hoping to use Linphone on my Android as a primary option and, in testing,
have run into a problem.

My droid Linphone is connected to an Asterisk PBX.

I just noticed DTMF does not seem to be working in some cases (as mentioned, I
can dial-out).

When I try to access voicemail the PBX doesn't seem to respond when I enter my
mailbox number.

When I noticed this my next test was to try DTMF on another service. I called
a customer support number and tried to use DTMF. That didn't work, either.

I do not hear the tones.

Can anyone please offer some suggestions on how I can get this working?

Thank you very much!
