[Linphone-users] Linphone Desktop Linux Ports List

2021-12-21 Thread Сергей Фыль
Hello dear users!  I ask for a list of all ports that must be open for
Linphone Desktop to work, indicating the service and data transfer
protocol.  For example, SIP-port 5060-udp.  Thank you.

Thank you Maciej and Dennis!

Indeed the appimage solution worked. Looks like the Ubuntu packages lack
mkv support.

Debian comaintainer for Linphone here. I see that the Linphone
version preceding the current one in Kubuntu still was 3.12.
Packaging newer 4.x versions lagged behind for a long time due to lack
of manpower, and we're still in the process of catching up.
Unfortunately, the current packages are not as feature-complete as
we'd like yet, but we're working on it and hope to provide
feature-complete backports compatible with Debian Bullseye (and maybe
derivatives) after Bullseye will have been released. Until then
you'll have to be patient and/or use the appimage.

Re: [Linphone-users] Linphone on Linux - call recording not saved

2021-04-13 Thread Maciej Morycinski

Which version are you using?

If it is the version from the repositories, maybe try the AppImage.

If it's the newest AppImage, or installed from source, then I would
suggest trying to reinstall a previous release to confirm it's really a
regression.
Then you could start a new issue at
https://github.com/BelledonneCommunications/linphone-desktop/issues

[Linphone-users] Linphone on Linux - call recording not saved

2021-04-13 Thread Maciej Bednarek
Hello

My Linphone (Linux Kubuntu 21.04 Beta) stopped saving the audio recordings
of calls - the popup showing the filename at the end of the call is
displayed, but the folder is empty. This function worked well about 2-3
months ago. Any idea what could be the reason? I don't see any mentions of
the recording in log files.

Thanks, Maciej

I think that you will need to explain what "an other" means, and give
details of which versions you are running.

I have linphone 3.12.0 working on a debian (soon to be Devuan) system
connected through a Fritzbox. I normally use a wired ethernet connection
to the Fritzbox. I think (and expect) that it also works using a wifi
connection, although I cannot be quite sure that I have actually tested
that.

I also have a DECT phone operating through the Fritzbox connecting to
the same SIP registry on the same number (ie sip address). All works
fine. Someone will probably notice that version 3.12.0 of linphone is
rather old, but it works well. Also it is the latest version in Debian.
(When I get some spare time, I want to compile the latest git version
for linux: people seem to report problems on this list for more recent
versions.)

[Linphone-users] Linphone on Linux

2021-01-01 Thread Jean-Jacques Sarton

Hello,

I have installed linphone as well on a smartphone as on a Linux-PC.
On my router a Fritzbox, I habe configured 2 IP-phone number and allow
access from the internet (external IP-Address of the router).
On the smartphone all work well.
On the Linux system there is no sound transmission if I am not connected
to the own WIFI network, but an other.

any Idea?

Greetings,
Trying to get some workable SIP softphone on my iPhone 4S, limited to
iOS 9.3.6. The version on Apple’s App Store requires iOS 10.0 or newer.
Pretty sure i can install apps myself (via Apple’s Configurator 2) if i
can get the app onto my Mac.
Is there any way for me to get the last version of the app that worked
on iOS 9? (I accept that it’s as-is, will not be improved unless i dig
into the source code and compile my own, which i’ve never done for iOS.
I just want the last old app that worked, pre-made and ready to run.)
Anyone know which version this was?

Re: [Linphone-users] linphone windows -linux

2020-02-03 Thread Peio Rigaux
Hi, I suggest you to install Linphone desktop either by our flatpak
(link available on our website) or by building it yourself.

The Linphone-desktop 3.X is very old and we can't guaranty that it can
communicate easily with 4.X versions.

Some distros' packages are not updated, but we are talking with package
managers to fix this.

Re: [Linphone-users] Linphone 3.9.1 Linux == Bad RTCP packet, too short

2016-04-20 Thread macach

Thank you for suggestion, but

1. "it shall be fixed in current master version" is not enough for cloning git
repository. I would expect something like "it was fixed ... "
2. The main problem is not in cloning git, it is in installing all necessary dependencies for Make, because Ubuntu doesn't have them. And it
is not easy at all.

So please, as long as you know how to do it properly, and as long as this bug was fixed few month ago, I think it is a good reason to make a
release version say 3.9.2.
Because this bug is critical = it causes application to freezes completely. It is not possible to close it. The only way to stop it is to
kill it via xterm.

This is critical bug.
