[linrad] Re: OSS 4.0
Hi Pierre. Also here, i have not stayed able to setup (U) with 02.29 and OSS 4.0. Linrad exit with *** stack smashing detected ***: ./xlinrad terminated. I have also tried uselessly the oss 4.0 (999). Ermanno / ik7ezn Hi Ermanno, Here too, something strange happens with Oss 4.0 I too have spurs every 1500 hz at the center of the waterfall graph. :-( This is with linrad-02.29 and Suse10.0 and Suse10.1 Are you able to setup your soundcards (Option U) with linrad-02.29 and oss 4.0 ? ( Here linrad 02.29 terminates with a segmentation fault ) If I copy par_userint from linrad-02.28 to linrad-02.29, linrad-02.29 works but the noise level in the waterfall graph is about 10 db higher than with linrad-02.28 Pierre/ON5GN On Tuesday 01 May 2007 15:58, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi All. Hi Ermanno, Today I have installed Ubuntu 7.04 with kernel 2.6.20. I have installed the OSS 4.0 (build 1002) last available. Linrad working ok but there is a problem. I tried Ubuntu 7.04 with kernel 2.6.20 a few days ago, and today I installed oss from oss-linux-v4.0-1002-i386.tar.bz2 under this distribution. Everything looks absolutely normal. I only tried under X11, but I do not expect svgalib to behave differently. Have you had a look at I=Soundcard test mode ? Presumably there are pulses with a repetition rate of 3 kHz. Maybe the shape of these pulses would give a hint. 73 Leif / SM5BSZ A help? 73 Ermanno / ik7ezn -- Passa a Infostrada.
