Thanks. This looks promising. As soon as I can, I'll do the exercise I mentioned in a previous post to verify the behaviour of the different software. There is something inconsistent between apps in dealing with ITPC info, and it will help to have that documented before trying to make the mods

I've been trying a number of viewers (more than I care to name!). It seems that mapivi and the libjpeg-progs (rdjpgcom and wrjpgcom) put the "comment" somewhere different from geeqie and pix and Gimp and Irfanview are happy to show the comments I put in, but the interface isn't set up for

I've been using mapivi to add comments to jpg photos. This works fairly well, but the interface is not terribly nice for just viewing the images. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a (linux) image viewer that shows the image and displays the comments too. In fact, a lot of viewers make it
