[OCLUG-Tech] anyone have experience porting C# .NET app to linux?

a client who wants some training in moving from WEC7 (windows embedded compact 7) to linux has an app already written for WEC7, completed in C# .NET. anyone have experience taking a working app through that kind of transition, i'm assuming with mono? pointers to guides online would be just
