Hi Mark, when I first read your message I thought you were joking, but I'm

Wait, I just remembered reporting that the 2.4.23/2.4.24 patches did _not_
include some fixes that were in the 2.4.21 series. (At least one of which

When you buy RHEL, you get both maintenance and defect support. If you then
pay IBM for support on top of that, then you're paying double (or
less/more?). That's one thing about SUSE. You _have_ to pay for
maintenance when you get their product, but they don't force you to pay for

Where are the archives located for this list? I need to go back and find
the information on how-to add the timer patch and implement the timer
patch in RHAS3.0.
Thanks!

A quick check of /boot/config-2.4.21-3.EL shows that they did select zfcp to
be built as a module, so it looks like it should work.

Hmm, the other possibility (?) is that Sue is using an "LPAR" kernel, and
not the one with VM support.

Anyone know if RHAS3 has FCP support? My understanding was that it was
missing from RH 7.2 and that was a strong selling point for SLES8 which
had it.
However, because we like RHAS for x86 we would like to deploy it on
Z/Platform as well.
Thank you!

I just finished installing Suse Linux on a VM mini disk (previous installs were
in standalone lpars). When I tried to ipl the system for the first time I
received the following message:
HCPGIR453W CP entered; program interrupt loop
