If anything SuSE being European should be supporting UTF8 from the start.
I think there is some difference in application or webserver
configuration.
Probably Websphere or Apache setting needs to be reviewed.

Shark is the only *qualified* FCP DASD solution currently available for
Linux on zSeri

on the mainframe. They are saying that they think RedHat was using UFT-8
and we're not and that's screwing up some data. How would/can one change

Save yourself some pain (btdt). Find a linux or unix machine and make an
ISO file from that CD, ftp it up to Linux 390, and then mount -t iso9660
-oloop that file. The DB2 CD seems to be full of symbolic links and things
that windows can't get right - even samba mounted.

Yep. It has some pretty expensive prereqs though. To use it effectively
(IMHO), you really need Intelligent Orchestrator, and

If they do Fibre Channel SCSI, I think they will work with zLinux. I
haven't ever tried it though.

kernel without problem, at least with my config. But i can't do 'make
