eth1. OSPF is doing its job advertising the ip address of the dummy
interface and traffic is flowing via both OSA ports.

Hey, just last week I sent an email expressing my undying affection to my

Try explaining that with a straight face.

Has anyone used (or attempted to use) EMC storage attached via FCP with
either Red Hat or Suse on the zSeries? I know EMC is not listed at
I've had success with EMC Symm 8830 (I Think) FCP attached to a z800 and
a z900.
We were running SLES8 under zVM v4 in an LPAR.
Just make sure that EMC and whoever is doing your iogen are working
together.

Hi Folks, Is there any stated direction for Java 1.5 on Linux
for z/Series by IBM or any other party?
Michael:
It is IBM's intention to ship Java 5.0 (nee 1.5) by year-end 2005
for Linux for zSeries. Of course things may happen to prevent
that, but we expect to meet that date. In other words,
About %#$ time! We can finally get rid of the compat libraries due to
the use of the old ABI in the JVM. New C++ programs that use the JNI
will now be able to work.

Use gcj or kaffee and get that today ;-)
We have the same identical problem, but only on one guest of two
identical zlinux (SLES8, same application, same number of DASD, same
z/VM and LPAR, same installation date/procedure...).
Did anyone have a solution better than Suse response?!

Nice thought, but the last time we were asked to test Kaffe, things were
pretty ugly. I haven't seen another request to do testing since.
