Well we conducted another test (much better than the last one - it had too many
unpredictable variables):
1. 1 destination machine let's call it dest1
2. dest1 has 2 nics
2.1 vlan 411 access mode thru a VSWITCH
2.2 vlan 420 trunck mode directly thru osa devices

I am not a current S/390 customer, but when I was I spent quite some time
together with Rob vd Heij analysing VSwitch performance and the workings of the
virtualised instructions (none of them published by IBM) that go with them. At
that time (z/VM 5.3 ish) those instructions needed to
