Hi Folks!
The place that Robert pointed it is correct, but to update it we use a
script called qeth_configure (I guess it would be similar to chzdev but for
SuSE and network only)
So the answer was:
qeth_configure -l -o "bridge_role=primary" 1

Hi Folks,
What is the recommended setup for open vswitch on SLES 12 on z?
I can see:
https://www.suse.com/documentation/sles-12/book_sle_admin/data/sec_ovs.html
But it says nothing about BRIDGEPORT.
Where should I put OPTIONS="layer2=1 bridge_role=primary
Is "OPTIONS" a recognized option on

Issue solved by Alan, the files were packed by VMLOGS... I had unpacked the

Hi Folks,
I have a bunch of console logs from VMLOGS that I would like to read from
Linux. I have used cmsfs-fuse -a to mount it on /mnt but there are a lot of
strange chars in the file:
cat MAINT9.SYSPROG
FdoDMSACP723I T (1193) R/O%nDMSACP723I B (5E5) R/O_nDMSACP723I D (51D)
R/O_nDMSACP723I E
I guess I have it for 60 days during my free trial :D Just a zypper upgrade
would apply the PTF?
I will try it :D
Thanks!

When I tried to install it on a zPDT it complained about my processor (says

Hi Folks,
I have already asked this question on z1090 mail list but it may be
interesting for other people here that would like to try zKVM and also you
may know the answer :)
I am trying to install zKVM on zpdt but it is not able to run dasdfmt
during the installation:
2015-10-02
FYI: To make it work I had to format the dasds on an older Linux like RHEL6.
