If you are attending SHARE in Anaheim, there are a couple of z/VM events you might want to attend.
Linux and VM Program opening is Monday at 9:30 in Grand Ballroom Salon E/F. This is the place to find out basic information about the Linux and VM Program at SHARE. If you are new to SHARE or to z/VM and/or Linux, this is a good place to start. A special session entitled "45 Years of Mainframe Virtualization: CP/67 and VM/370 to z/VM" will be presented by Jim Elliott of IBM. Jim will share history and stories about VM through the years including the focus on hosting Linux over the past 10 years. Following that will be the 40th Birthday of VM. We will have a number of special events including the announcement of the newest inductees in to the Order of the Knights of VM. Come join us as we celebrate! After the party, many will go offsite to the LVM Program Dinner. This is a dutch treat event and on opportunity to kick back with other members of the Linux and VM community. Hope to see you there!
