Is it just /bin/bash now?
You might be looking for something like /sbin/sulogin, or /sbin/sulogin

Have you been able to get gdm and/or xdm to work?

After booting slack390 login via sshd works fine - no problem.
All the window managerwork fine - no problem.
But there is no login prompt on the vm console.
Where do i have to enable this prompt ?
Any help appreciated.
