I finally figured out the problem. Under SuSE, there is boot.sysctl that has to be enabled for auto start. I entered Linux command ?chkconfig boot.sysctl on? and that corrected my problem. Hey I might make it yet. Thanks and I hope I did not waste anybodys time. Peter
