I am running SuSE Linux in a native LPAR. I change a default value using
the following command:
sysctl -w kernel.msgmax=40960
This value is lost after reboot. I created /etc/sysctl.conf with the
following contents:
# sysctl.conf sample
#
kernel.msgmax = 40960
However after each reboot, the
I finally figured out the problem. Under SuSE, there is boot.sysctl that
has to be enabled for auto start. I entered Linux command ?chkconfig
boot.sysctl on? and that corrected my problem. Hey I might make it yet.
