Hi all. Scott Murray told me there was a lot of traffic this morning
on the linux-cert lists about the SAIR sample test and the item writing
guidelines so I subscribed here at work and I've seen nothing. I'll look
forward to seeing the mail when I get home.

About the item writing guidelines, if you haven't already please review
the draft:

http://www.soltec.net/~amead/generic.html

There are a number of unfinished aspects, I'm sure there are some
good ideas I've missed, I could use a good scenario item, etc. ALSO,
it occurs to me that there may be some jargon or abbreviations in the
guidelines themselves which might set a bad precident for item writers.
So please keep our consensus point (we are to avoid uneccessary jargon
or abbreviations) in mind when reviewing.

Finally, Scott has indicated that we should write something for item
reviewers as well. I'm at a bit of a loss what to write for them apart
from those item guidelines so please keep that in mind; if reading the
draft makes you think of some specific guideline for an item *reviewer*
or (what are we calling them, objective maintainers?), please send me
an email.

Thank you very much for your help in finalizing this small but important
step to finishing.

-Alan Mead
