In the meantime I have done some logging to track the problem down.
Logging for DST.C is enabled via:
modprobe dst verbose=4
I have also enabled i2c debugging in the kernel.

Please go to the Documentation/dvb to find the get_dvb_firmware,
vi it and see which firmware do you need to download.
Download it and copy it to /lib/firmware,
Then you can enjoy your candy.
